About Us

The Sailing Association of Marco Island, known as SAMI, was established in the Southwest Florida sailing community in September of 1969. For over 50 years SAMI's mission has been to encourage the sport of sailing; promote the science of navigation and seamanship; practice safety at sea; and to perpetuate good fellowship among sailing enthusiasts.

Cruising and More

SAMI is open to anyone who loves sailing, regardless of skill level, and is not limited to boat owners. Our Sailing Club is both owned and operated by it's own members. Membership allows members unlimited access to our social events, cruises and regattas.
